This year’s annual EP/MEP Open House of the Northeastern Region took place at Anuban Ubon Ratchathani School in Ubon Ratchathani Province. A big group of our EP students and teachers attended the event to compete in the various competitions. Competitions for speech, debate, singing, quiz, spelling, Asean, Math, Science project works and many more were participated by many students of different EP and MEP schools in Thailand’s Isaan region. Our English Program also had a display booth for the “Amazing English World” concept of the event. This year’s EP booth was a mini movie theatre, wherein we set up a partial air conditioned theatre projecting English movies for the students. Before the movie is shown, a short lesson and game related to the movie is presented to the viewers and they get free popcorn if they win a game. Our EP acquired a popcorn machine for the booth to make the movie theatre theme complete. The English movies were shown with English subtitles so students can listen and read the dialogue of the movie, helping them improve English by more exposure to the language through movies.
