20 May 2025 – SEAMEO RECSAM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sarakham Pittayakhom School, Thailand, in a ceremony attended by Dr Azman Bin Jusoh, Centre Director of SEAMEO RECSAM, and Mr Songsuk Chaowprai, Director of Sarakham Pittayakhom School, along with staff members from both institutions.
This MoU represents a meaningful step towards fostering mutual understanding and strengthening regional cooperation in the field of STEM education. The partnership aims to strengthen STEM education through the English language by implementing collaborative professional development programmes, facilitating educational visits and exchange activities and promoting the sharing of educational resources.
Through this collaboration, both parties aim to co-create innovative training initiatives, promote cross-cultural exchange and promote the integration of 21st century skills into teaching and learning practices. The shared commitment to educational excellence will empower both educators and students, contributing to regional capacity building and the advancement of quality STEM education in the SEAMEO region.
