The Final Grade is computed as follows:

Indicators (Activitie, Assessments, Projects)              –              60 points

Mid-term Test                                                                     –              20 points

Final Test                                                                             –              20 points

Total Grade                                                                        –              100 points = 100% = 4.0

 

Course Indicators:

This course follows the Ministry of Education’s 2553 Basic Education Curriculum on the subject of the Arts. All course indicators below are taken from that curriculum. After this course, the student should be able to:

  1. Describe differences and similarities of works of visual art and the environment by applying knowledge of visual elements. (5)
  2. Specify and describe principles of designing works of visual art with emphases on unity, harmony and balance. (5)
  3. Paint landscapes showing short and long distances in three dimensions.(5)
  4. Collect sculptures or works of mixed media to create three-dimensional stories with emphases on unity, harmony and conveying stories about the works. (5)
  5. Design pictures, symbols or other graphics to present thoughts and data. (10)
  6. Evaluate works of visual art and describe methods of improving their own and others’ works by using prescribed criteria. (5)
  7. Specify and describe characteristics and forms of national and local works of visual art from the past to the present. (5)
  8. Specify and compare works of visual art in various regions of Thailand. (5)
  9. Compare differences in the objectives in creating works of visual art of Thai and universal cultures. (5)
